Resident of Levis Dies Friday Night Heart Attack is Fatal to Mrs. Minnie Filitz at Neillsville

Neillsville - Mrs. Minnie Filitz, 65, died of a heart attack at 7:30 o'clock last night while on the way from the home of her son Elmer, Levi Township, to visit a doctor in Neillsville. She had not been ill before the sudden seizure which caused her to seek medical attention.

Funeral services will probably be held Tuesday afternoon with the Rev. N.J. Dechant officiating. and burial will take place here. Mrs. Filitz was a member of Zion Evangelical and Reformed Church.

Born at Wilson, Minn., on Oct. 14, 1882, Minnie Ehlers was married to Otto Filitz and they came to Clark County in 1902. Mr. Filitz died on June 15, 1926.

Surviving are two sons, Herbert and Elmer, Neillsville, and two daughters, Mrs. Norbert (Martha) Noltner, Madison, and Mrs. Havey (Leda) Palmer, Portland, Ore.; six grandchildren; and two brothers, Emil Ehlers, Winona, Minn., and John Ehlers, Neillsville. Two brothers are deceased.

***Family Note:

I found a copy of this obituary, with no mention of the newspaper name or date. However, according to notes left by her daughter, (my grandmother) Leda Filitz Palmer, Minnie died on June 20, 1947 so this must be the June 21 edition. Still looking for the Harvey Palmer obit!
